CONFIRMED: Disney Planning Campus in Lake Nona with 2,000 Jobs Being Relocated

Disney is moving to Lake Nona!

Earlier today, the Orlando Business Journal confirmed that The Walt Disney Company plans to relocate a portion of its west coast operations to Lake Nona, Florida.

Approximately 2,000 jobs, including Imagineers and other Parks, Experiences, and Products division executives will be among the first to relocate to the area over the course of the next 18-months. These plans include the construction of a new Disney professional campus within the community.

Rumors of this planned relocation emerged earlier this year as tensions between the Walt Disney Company and the state of California were at an all-time high.

In a letter to staff, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Josh D’Amaro stated, “This new project will create a dynamic environment to support our expanding business — a brand-new regional campus which will be built in the vibrant Lake Nona community of Orlando.”
