Below you’ll find a current list of pool homes near Walt Disney World. Everyone wants a pool. Well, maybe not everyone, but it’s a comment we hear a lot from our clients. The thought of buying a home in Orlando and having a pool to enjoy year-round is a tempting thought.

There are things you should consider, however. Pools require maintenance and while some are comfortable doing that work themselves, many prefer the services of a qualified company. The cost associated with that can range anywhere from $80 – $200 per month.

Then there’s the cost of running your pool. Pool pumps require electricity and a pool will add to your overall electric bill. Some estimates say that pools can add up to $300 per year to your electric bill.

Pools also add value to the cost of a home. So it stands to reason that a home with a pool will usually cost more than a home without one. I know this is common sense. However, oftentimes we find that clients who list a pool as a ‘deal breaker’ prior to beginning their home search often reconsider when they see the price differences involved.

Don’t get me wrong – pools are awesome. There is nothing better than sitting in your pool a few miles from Walt Disney World in February and giving a call to your family in the northeast in the middle of a blizzard to say ‘hello’. Not that I’ve ever done that 😉
